

Collegiate Skydiving Disciplines

Objective:
On a freefall jump, teams perform a sequence of formations designated by the draw for each round.
​
Exit Altitude:
2-way teams leave the plane from 11,500 ft
4-way teams leave the plane at 12,000ft
​
Working Time:
Teams have 35 seconds from their exit from the aircraft to complete the formations.
​
Rounds:
2-way teams complete in 3 rounds while 4-way teams compete in 6 rounds.
Draw:
The scoring formations of each round are decided by a random draw which is given to all competitors no later than 2 hours before the start of competition.
Scoring:
A team will score one point for each judge-able scoring formation performed in the sequence within the allotted working time of each round.

Working Time:
Teams have 35 seconds from their exit from the aircraft to complete the formations.

Teams complete a maximum of 4 rounds.
Draw:
The scoring formations of each round are decided by a random draw which is given to all competitors no later than 2 hours before the start of competition.
Scoring:
A team will score one point for each judge-able scoring formation performed in the sequence within the allotted working time of each round.

6-way
Formation Skydiving
All of the official rules can be found in the Skydiver's Competition Manual, Chapter 7
​
Objective:
A team of 6 leave the aircraft and build the required formation. Their working time begins when any team member (or a part of their body) crosses the door of the aircraft.
​
Exit Altitude:
Teams leave the plane from 12,000 feet.
​
Working Time:
Each formation must be completed within 35 seconds and held for a minimum of five seconds.Total working time is 40 seconds.

Rounds:
Teams complete a maximum of 3 rounds.
Draw:
Each round consists of building one formation drawn from the current collegiate dive pool.
Scoring:
Each team receives a score (in seconds) for the completed 6-way formation that is held for a minimum of five seconds. If a team does not complete a 6-way formation, it will receive the maximum score of 35 seconds.

Objective:
Competitors fly their canopies to a target center and performing a stand-up landing. The target dead center is 0.4 meters (16 inches) in diameter.
Team Event:
A team of four individuals complete their first three individual Accuracy Landing rounds and their scores for those rounds are added together.

Exit Altitude:
Teams leave the plane from 4,500 ft unless weather considerations require a minimum exit altitude of 3,500ft.
​
Rounds:
Individuals complete a maximum of 4 rounds.
The first three rounds are used to score the team event.
Scoring:
Competitors will be judged on the following three tasks:
1. Accuracy - The distance between their first point of contact and the target center will be measured with a possible score of zero meters (dead center) to 15 meters maximum.
​
2. Stand-up landing - Failure to perform a stand-up landing will add a 15-meter penalty to the competitor’s score.
3. Landing control - The competitor will receive a 15-meter penalty if, the first point of contact is not within the 30.4m diameter circle, or; the competitor fails to contain the landing within the 30.4m diameter circle.
Individuals who do not land within the 30.4m diameter circle will be given a default score of 45m.

The individuals with lowest total accumulated scores will be the winners.
